Tonight’s our last night in Prague. Just got back from the world famous Pivovarský Klub, which claims to have the “largest beer menu in our country.” Over 200 beers in bottle and six on draft–pretty awesome. In lieu of exchanging our remaining Czech Crowns for Euros, I handed our trusty bartender the last of our […]

U Fleků: the only brewery in Central Europe that’s been brewing consecutively for 500 years. (Plus, they make a damn good Goulash). Within 30 seconds of sitting down, two huge glasses of dark lager appeared on our table. My confused response of, “oh, we didn’t order these”, was met with the statement from our waiter: […]

So my friend, Amy, who hails from the fair island of Rhodes, recommended this place: Gelo Blu. Home-made Italian ice creams in the center of Lindos village…I had them put some home-made ice cream in the center of my coffee. Kat, however, couldn’t resist the siren call of the Mythos.

First night in Piedmont. And what do we order w/ dinner? BEER. And not just any beer. Microbrew made by prisoners! (I’m not joking)
It rose out of the lagoon. Sometime around the 4th or 5th century, a resilient group of people had been pushed to the brink. Exhausted and worn thin by constant foreign invasions, they decided to relocate to the marshy islands far out on the water. And thus, Venice was born. And the most magical city […]

Just arrived in Verona. Kat ran out to buy a couple of beers. Look closely: “Analcolica”. Way to go, Kat! A couple of non-alcoholic beers. Yippee!
We’ve sung Willie Nelson’s “On the Road Again” ten times more than the average Willie fan can muster in a 3-week period. It’s been an interesting transition being away from home this long. As each day is so dense, a week ends up feeling like a month. Learning traffic signs in the moment while zipping […]
A pretty typical offering of beers in a French bistro (in fact, a lot for draft in this case). Apparently, beer takes a backseat here.
